Introduction :

Managing the workplace effectively starts with ensuring a safe, clean and well-ordered working environment. This is basis for standardization, continuous improvement and ultimately, for becoming the role model work organization towards waste elimination through workplace organization.

To achieve this, workplace organization and other means are needed to keep everyone in the organization abreast of what is happening and to spot problems before they develop into major complications. Therefore, the objective of the evaluation is to ensure that the 5S implementation will lead to a total quality improvement.

Combined with interactive learning workshop, video presentation and a plant tour, this programme will provide you the correct tools and methods to begin implementing your own 5S system at your organization.

Target Group :

As 5S System Implementation is team oriented thus it involves all level of employees in the organization. Those employees involve in 5S steering committee or auditing teams in the manufacturing process including Managers, Executives, Officers, Engineers, Supervisors, Technicians, Line Leaders and Production Operators, this programme will benefit them the most.


Objective :

With the knowledge and skills acquired by the end of the 5S Implementation, Sustaining & Audit training programme, the participants will be able to:
  • implement and sustain 5S activities with positive results.
  • understand the principles and criteria of 5S system that the participants can use to make their workplace cleaner.
  • implement 5S programs that organize their work areas to become more productive and a safe to work in.
  • develop self-directed employees and use team approach for 5S continuous improvement.
  • eliminate waste through 5S Principles.
  • create a workplace that is clearly organized, free of clutter and well arranged so that they can easily find things they need.

Training Methodology :

This training programme can be conducted using the standard content or specially developed to suit your environment. As such :
  • The training will be conducted with the introduction of 5S concepts and related real life audit.
  • Participants will also carry out facts finding and diagnosis of present situation - current standard of housekeeping.
  • Identify areas for improvement and set target for improvement.
  • Practical implementation of skill learnt at work place will be carried out on the 2nd day.
  • This programme can be conducted in English Language, Bahasa Malaysia & /or Mandarin.
